At this point, the people left who this question applies to are largely the kind of people for whom “Ya’ll watch this!” is practically a mating call. The sort of people who insist they’re not going to be “that guy” occupying an ICU bed with tubes jammed down his throat as he lies in a medically-induced coma.

The cough? “Allergies.”

Wheezing? “Chest cold.”

Coughing up blood? “Fine, I’ll go to the doctor, but I’m tellin’ ya it ain’t COVID.”

Then they wheel into the ER with O2 stats lower than their IQ, looking whiter than a preacher’s sheets as they’re gasping for every breath, at which point they progress past Denial in a matter of minutes to hours: Anger that the “experts” can’t just fix them up with a “cure,” Bargaining with everybody from the docs to their deity of choice that they be given one of those “miracle cures” like HCQ or horse paste, ending up Depressed when their ass ends up in a bed with an oxygen mask and an IV drip, and then generally Acceptance of the vaccines just as they’re about to get put on the ventilator.
