There’s compromise, and then there’s giving away the store. If the point of all these theatrics is to decrease the deficit, then creating a “deal” that does nothing for deficit reduction is pointless.

No one is giving away the store. PBO said that this is the first of many steps which will come after this vote which apparently will be held off in the House. Sorry, but I’m with Bob Cesca and Bill Scher.
