Australian-built vehicles are badass though. Ford Australia built some amazing vehicles that would have given Ford America a run for its money.

And don’t know if anyone else knows this, but GM also exported RHD vehicles to mostly Commonwealth nations in the 50s and 60s. They were exported from Canada, not America, as Canada is a Commonwealth nation and GM could save money from tariffs by having them built in Canada for export to Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and even the UK.

We had a 1939 Ford when we lived in Japan, ca. 1958. It was RHD but I don’t know the sourcing. It was a V-8 though, I definitely remember that.
