Looking at results from last night and two years ago, King’s Democratic challenger gained about 2500 votes and King lost almost 70000 votes.

I am really hoping his opponent considers another go at it in 2020 but I understand how exhausting campaigns are for candidates and their families which is as much as I’d love it if Beto contemplated running for President in 2020 or even against Cornyn, I would completely understand if he did not.
