That gondola doesn’t run in the winter, it’s strictly a summer attraction.

Usually there’s 15 foot snow walls in the three avalanche paths on the side of the highway on the west side of the pass. There hasn’t been enough snow for any kind of avalanche control this year. Hell, college kids from Western State haven’t been able to hike up into Tea Cup Bowl to build a big kicker to practice backflips. It’s fucking January! *shudder*

I mean I love the moutains but we’re not towing the trailer through there in the winter so it wasn’t going to be winter that trip.

It was nice and gray and windy though.

I might even have pictures somewhere. (It was less brown.)
