Why do Muslim apostates gravitate towards atheism? That is not true of other religions.

Which continent has the most atheists? Europe not the middle east or North Africa. They used to be Christians but gave it up. Places like the USSR and China are different because they outlawed religion but the Christians of Europe are are voluntarily giving up religion faster than anyone else in history.
