I won’t give him oxygen by retweeting, but Dinesh is equating the handling of the Epstein case with the handling of the Smollett case and his stupid followers are all convinced that Mueller is going to get charged for mishandling the case (because he was head of FBI or something).

Just finishing Kurt Andersen’s fine Fantasyland. He doesn’t say this, but I infer from some of his commentary on Trump vs. Obama that while racism is a component of what animates Trumpers, what they really hate about Obama is that he represents the rational and wouldn’t let people indulge in fantasy, and that extends to hatred of educated liberals (and rational conservatives, which didn’t used to necessarily be an oxymoron) in general.
