I have a personal interest in this story, as a (now deceased) musician friend of mine named Roby Duke was the son of one of the defense witnesses in the trial (very unfortunately); the murder happened very near the house he grew up in. I’d known Roby for fifteen years, and the last time we performed together, we spent a lot of time talking backstage and he told me all about it.
