Nazi Imagery Posted By Candidate’s Father Rocks Westchester Exec Race

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — The race for Westchester County executive have gotten ugly, with Tea Party conservative challenger Kurt Colucci now taking heat from incumbent Rob Astorino’s campaign over Nazi images posted to the Web by Colucci’s father.

Colucci, a self-identified “conservative libertarian,” has said the Tea Party has been taken over by the Republican Party, according to a Journal News report. He pointed out that the supported Astorino, a Republican, in his initial run for Westchester County executive four years ago, but has been disappointed in his performance, the newspaper reported.

…Meanwhile, Astorino’s campaign has drawn attention to images that Colucci’s father posted – one of which shows Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s head on a uniformed Nazi’s body with a caption reading, “our gov homo,” the newspaper reported.

Another image allegedly posted by Colucci’s father showed a Nazi meeting, with a caption calling it a meeting an Albany in which “dictator cuomo and field marshal bloomberg” were in charge, the newspaper reported.

Colucci distanced himself from the report, telling the newspaper he does not have a relationship with his father and that his father left when he was about 3 years old.
