No, I don’t think so {loppyd} - I think most of us - well most of us who are concerned with the health care issues in this “Stimulus Bill” are more concerned with being able to get treatment if, by some magic calculus, someone in the Federal Government over rules you, your doctor and your private insurance/Medicare prescription for your treatment for a serious illness, based upon, apparently, the cost of such treatment versus the benefit to our society of keeping you alive.

I agree with everything you are saying….believe me. My step-father would probably have been told to go home and die quietly under such a plan.

But I think it’s just as important - although not life and death - for people to understand that their most private medical information will be stored on a government database. And you all remember how easy it was for Joe the Plumber’s info to be accessed - imagine if your medical records were to be splashed all over the internet by your enemies? Or if they were used by prospective companies when hiring? Downright chilling.
