Never served on a jury, just been called in for the selection process.

Same here just once. I got called from the large pool up to the lawyer selection phase. We had filled out cards that asked all kinds of questions. When they saw I knew the judge real well since we were kids (his father was my godfather at my baptism). I was questioned and passed over.
