This observation isn’t original to me - but he’s shown a rather disturbing level of what looks like actual empathy for Kavanaugh. Certainly much more than he’s evinced toward pretty much anyone else since he’s been president*.

Whatever that says about him, it ain’t pretty.

I thought I covered that with:

He is fawning on Kavanaugh to butter him up to save his butt if needed.

Kavanaugh is this month’s flavor. Trump thinks he needs him. He is to be used.

He is looking at Kavanaugh with that same thinking he asked of Comey…only moreso. He expects him to be “his judge” and swear loyalty to Trump.

Nothing changes. Trump treats everyone with the same ‘what can you do for me” expectation and demands.
