To date, no one from the GOP has contacted me or anyone I know to ask for opinions on party direction or voter sentiment toward the party. Finding out what voters want is a pretty critical step toward selecting policies and candidates that represent those desires.

I am not hopeful for 2010. The election season begins in earnest a month or two from now, and the preliminaries are already under way. But I’m not seeing any sign of national organization or strategy at this point.
