-Off Topic- Roseanne Reboot

So here’s the thing about the Roseanne reboot. I’m not really interested in supporting any artists who voted for/admire Republicans, let alone President Racist Grandpa. (That being said, my favorite singer performed at the RNC in 2012. It broke my heart, but I am still a big fan of his.) It’s problematic, to say the least. But I can and do on occasion support such artists. That’s not THE issue.

I loved the original show, I love a lot of the actors, especially Laurie Metcalf. I could ignore the Roseanne problem except—

The show is contributing to the normalization of Trump. I don’t care if you take the Roseanne character seriously, or you are laughing at her. Our so called President is getting a free infomercial and getting normalized with every minute he is mentioned on the show. That’s the problem. And that’s why I will not watch the show.

I find nothing funny about what’s happening in our country and I don’t need TV shows to impress upon viewers how cute and normal it is to support our so called President.

How did Roseanne go from a Green to a Trumper? I mean damn I believe in the circular spectrum too but still. What singer btw? I’m curious. It greatly annoyed me when I found out a baseball player I liked was a birther.
