Well, no true Scotsman IS a fallacy - and ‘no true conservative’ is just the same fallacy with one word changed. I believe we’ve all been over this a few times have we not?

It isn’t, though. If the defining feature of a classification is ideological rather than ethnicity based, it isn’t a fallacy to exclude people from that label for failing to conform to that ideology. Once can call themselves something without being it, and doing so shouldn’t cast aspersion on the people who are in fact as well as name.

The problem isn’t the “No True Scotsman”, it is that there isn’t an objective definition of Conservative. But I support throwing out, even post-humously, people who act contrarily to the rule of law and respect for life as Mandy described.
