OK bottom line on the t-shirt thing:

1. The kids were not sent home for wearing the flag - which if you are actually patriotic, you know not to do anyway. They were sent home for purposefully trying to tell other American kids of Hispanic descent that they were not welcome.

2. That is nothing more than racism, plain and simple.

3. Other kids who were just wearing flag garments were not sent home because they were not being assholes.

4. No one here, except every Latino/a who sees this, and those who aren’t totally tone deaf, is talking about how this was nothing more or less than telling some kids that they, and their holidays and their culture has no place for “real Americans.”

5. As to Malkin, that evil woman came out in favor of Japanese internment.
