Yeah. Jon Stewart’s message at the top of this thread? It totally applies to the freepers too. Fuck them all sideways with a 2x4 and no lube. =P

Also, sincere apologies to any Lizards in Arizona, but that law makes me feel like if I flew into Arizona without a birth certificate, Social Security card, and passport, they’d try to deport me for looking at someone the wrong way just because I’m Latina.

I know Texas has its own crazy to deal with, and I also know that Arizona is a lovely state, but I’d rather take my chances with the bugfuck crazy religious loons here than the bugfuck crazy anti-Mexican loons over there.

Howdy, neighbor! I had the misfortune to be born elsewhere (England in fact) and spent most of my childhood in Missouri, but my family is from Texas and I have lived here for going-on 40 years now.
Though addicted to weird beliefs, the local religionists are not without charm or good intentions, which is a huge contrast to Mexican-hating bigots (many of whom also hate everyone else, including themselves, with equal fervor).
A while back, a fundamentalist preacher ended a sharp exchange over creationism by inviting me to one of his barbecues. Now, I had heard of this man’s skill as a barbecue cook. I declared that he had found my weakness, and that I gratefully accepted. I had a great time at the little bash (400 people) too, even without beer.
