The Alinsky freakouts are particularly vexing. Here’s his wikipedia page. Nothing really stands out as objectionable, aside from

1) He wrote a tongue-in-cheek “dedication” to Lucifer (who, for the slow-witted out there, he didn’t even believe in) in one of his books.

2) He was a ebil community organizer.

3) He had some tenuous connections to Barack Obama and was admired by Hillary Clinton.

My theory is that wingnuts say about Alinsky everything they wish they could get away with saying about MLK, Malcolm X, and Cesar Chavez.
