I just got off the phone with my insurance agent to let him know that my bedroom ceiling is now my bed’s comforter and covering for my carpet.

If they didn’t know about a roof leak, they do now.

Do you have any big tarps you could put up over the roof area that might be large enough to go up over the crown and then down to cover the leaking area?

I know around Columbus when there is wind that blows off roofing shingles or slates, you can call a roofer and they will put up a tarp until they can get to the repair. The insurance company might pay for it too, as it prevents more damage they might have to cover later.
