You’re right. They are reactionary. It’s a much better description than conservative at this point.

I refer to them as revolutionaries. It is, in my opinion, their goal to destroy the United States of America and then remake it in an authoritarian manner. Or, failing that to grab what power they can from the wreckage and live like Afghani warlords. Either would be a positive outcome in their minds.

The closest historical analog is the Bolsheviks.
