re: #1 sauceruney
I’ve followed Schindler on Twitter ever since he was one of the few who was making sense about Ed Snowden—he coined the term (and hashtag) #SnowdenOp to describe the whole circus. And yeah, he could be a jerk but I assumed he was giving as good as he was getting from the Snowwald fanatics.
It begs the question of how the picture got out, though. If it wasn’t sent via DM, well, that would be ridiculous and stupid of Schindler to do so—but not inconceivable, as a certain ex-New York politician can affirm. If it was DMed then either the recipient leaked it or someone hacked the recipient’s (or Schindler’s) Twitter account.
Bob Cesca put it succinctly enough:
Say what you will about NSA, etc, but I’ve never heard of it posting personal emails and texts online for public gawking and media pile-ons.— Bob Cesca (@bobcesca_go) June 24, 2014
As pernicious as the NSA may be, mob rule by an army of Greenwald/Snowden worshippers would be a hundred times worse.
