One of the biggest emotions the electorate has about politics is a deep, deep anger at how things are being done. They want CHANGE, That’s how Trump got elected…even though the change they got was not the change they wanted.

To tap into that, you nominate a candidate that embodies change. That’s Warren (and…sigh….Sanders). Nomianting Biden is Business As Usual and that will not tap into what the electorate wants.

In my mind, that was what made Obama and the coalition he built such a major winner, such that he was the first two-term president in years to win by better than 50% of the vote in both elections. If our candidate does not embody change, then there’s going to be a lot of voters who go third party or go home. Why? Because if it’s a choice between another 4 years of Trump or 4 years of Trump-lite, then what really is the difference? Yeah, we can overturn a lot of the policies imposed through regulation or Executive Order, but the will to change laws isn’t really there and I don’t feel that a Biden administration would want to risk stepping on the toes necessary if he feels doing so will hurt the chances of passing legislation he wants later.
