It’s an interesting thought, but ultimately I think we’d still see this rhetoric under a Bill/Hillary Clinton, or anyone else.

What may cause a difference is that some of the stupidity we’ve heard so far wouldn’t have gone far (Bill Clinton a sekret muslim? Ha! Try spinning that!). But these people (I try to not connect them to the actual, sane [and seemingly smaller] sane right) would latch onto something else (Bill Clinton wasting 200 gajillion dollars per day on a trip? Add a war ship full of interns, and we’d have a new rumor!)
