In Sharia Newt Won't Trust; It's a 'Mortal Threat'

I still don’t get it. In view of the indisputable fact that establishment of religion is specifically banned under the Constitution, how do these “anti-sharia” types think it’s ever going to become the law of the United States?

I mean, can someone identify the actual steps these fools think will lead to such an outcome, aside from the very unlikely scenario of the vast majority of Americans converting to fundamentalist Islam?

It seems to me it’s like orthodox Jews deciding to “live under” Jewish law. This means they will follow the dietary restrictions, the rules regarding personal (and sexual) relationships, etc. but if one of them say, murders a Wiccan, they can’t get away with it by claiming they were only following the Old Testament law saying “thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.”

I’ve poked around such websites as the Shrieking Harpy’s about as much as I can stomach, but I can’t find any description of exactly how this imposition of Sharia law is going to happen.
