I realize they figure they’ll profit like crazy charging a premium for their fossil fuel products while civilization collapses around them, but then what? How is it people can be so rich and yet so absymally f*cking short-sighted and stupid? And so utterly lacking in imagination? If I had their money I would be salivating at the potential profits from transitioning to sustainable energy, at the opportunity to spearhead the research and development and position myself at the front of the pack.
