I know one of the Free State Project people who ran as a republican for local office (actually, I have suspicions about another who was up for school board). He is a Iraq war veteran. Smart as hell. Very disciplined in his debating style, but ultimately is the classic Milton Friedman/Friedrich Hayek devotee. I read the links he sent me for awhile, but then he started with the Stefan Molyneux bitcoin stuff and I just lost any interest in debate. I think there is a range from “I’ll buy an old church building and start a religion so I don’t have to pay any taxes” to genuine libertarians like my guy. They scare me, though.

I wish I could find one of the articles I had bookmarked about the Christian Exodus gang—it was pretty hilarious, and made a big point of the fact that the leader of the gang decided not to move to South Carolina and chose California instead, and that the few fools who did move to SC lost their asses because they couldn’t find jobs and their “leader” was enjoying life on the left coast.
