Phew! So glad Trump allowed me to say that again.

My wife and I went into town this afternoon. Literally every clerk and business owner wished us “Merry Christmas” (knowing we are atheists), and several commented exactly that: Trump is allowing us to say Merry Christmas again.

Never mind that Merry Christmas was not a thing before Charles Dickens’s “A Christmas Carol” and Christians outlawed overt celebrations of Christmas in the early years of the USA.
