Greenwald has been getting high on his own supply of outrage for a very long time, and he has consistently used his feelings as the sole arbiter of truth.

It annoys me that I took a relatively long time to see that pattern in his output.

I was once a fan, but noticed at some point decades ago that the last paragraph of his articles would often undermine the dramatic claims in the rest of the article.
