Of course the right assumes in their hearts that Obama is in sympathy with the attackers. Over the years, their rhetoric has so cheapened and diluted the terminology that they are literally unable to distinguish among views different from their own. Their opponents, even other conservatives, are routinely referred to as “extreme liberals” and even “ultra-liberals.” Anyone but a neo-confederate is a radical social experimenter. Anyone but a red-meat Randian capitalist is a Marxist. Anyone but a fundamentalist bigot is an Islamist or an atheist or (somehow) both. It is therefore impossible for them to distinguish real Marxists and Islamists from the targets of their invective. To them, Obama, Code Pink, and the Muslim Brotherhood are literally one and the same. They don’t have the terms or the references to make a distinction.

someone posted on FB a while back a picture of a ring Obama supposedly wears with arabic lettering on it that says some Muslim affirmation.
