Mike Pence, for all his faults, adheres to minimum basic standards of public decorum. If Pence were at your house, he’d say nice things about it, wouldn’t try to hit on your wife, wouldn’t insult other guests, and wouldn’t brag about his penis size. Pence wouldn’t stand on a national stage and make fun of the disabled. Mike Pence wouldn’t be your friend because he’s a dominionist and authoritarian, but unlike the president, can at least behave like an adult in public.

It never ceases to appall me that Trump voters look at someone doing the equivalent of defecating in public and wiping his ass on your curtains and think that this is a good and decent man. They are broken and undeserving of any rational engagement.

Pence is the kinda guy where if you were to beat him at a fighting game, he’d congratulate you and then gripe about it in private.
