The obvious facts (for some values of “obvious”) they choose to ignore

1. 30% or more of black voters lean conservative on foreign policy, national security, small business regulations, education, the churchy stuff, any number of issues; and
2. Most of those voters vote Democrat anyway; mostly because Civil Rights (voting rights) is their top shelf issue that outweighs everything else.

The Democrats don’t have to do or say much of anything to attract black voters, because Republicans work so hard to repel said voters.

Ayep. It’s become the same with Latino voters, who the GOP think they’re winning over with their “I don’t hate you, I just hate those ‘illegals,’” talk, totally ignorant of the reality that those voters only hear the bile and hatred towards people who look just like them, speak their language, and are impossible to tell apart once they’ve integrated into society.
