BTW, I wanted to throw this out:

Tomorrow the kids at the school I work at (private) are being given a rare opportunity to buy a ‘free dress day’ in honor of 9/11. They pay two bucks and don’t have to wear the school uniform, as long as they wear a t-shirt with a “positive 9/11 or American theme”. (Lots of details as to what this means were announced over the PA). Money will go to the Red Cross or some other disaster relief org.

What do you think? It seems frivolous to me. I’d rather see a prayer service, or something like that. On the other hand, I guess it’s harmless, and it encourages the kids to commemorate the events of 9/11/01.
