As usual, it’s going to depend on whether Trump jumped or was pushed. If he resigns, then the GOP will try to force the issue of crowning Pence on the grounds that we need to “heal the nation.” If he’s removed by the GOP, then they’ll be humbled enough to call for Pence’s resignation as well, but will insist on not going farther than that because (they’ll insist) the blight has been cut out. That basically means President Ryan and whoever the DNC finds the least objectionable to be VP.

NOw who would that be in our opinion. I’m trying to think of a decent R who’s been in office in recent memory who could qualify for that.
