In an instance I hope to be wrong, I can see public outing of personal info like this inspiring a black bloc asshole into hurting this man or his family. Perhaps by accident in some serious mischief.

I look at it like this-We all understand our choices when we decide to blog openly or discreetly. For police that is a far larger issue. They make enemies among felons all through a career. Though I have no idea how long our infamous cop has served.
