One of the posts at TPM noted that Bergdahl’s story prior to disappearance is sounding a lot like Tillman’s: Didn’t fit it in, expressed opposition to the war, had sympathy for the locals, and wrote letters home detailing how he disagreed with the war effort. Guess in this instance, his buddies didn’t have a chance to frag him before he disappeared.
In other words, he suffered from having a brain, a conscience and being a human.
That is always dangerous.
