CAIR’s press release said..

The Council on American-Islamic Relations said that nine American Muslims, most of them headed to Florida for a vacation with family members, were removed from an AirTran Airways flight Thursday afternoon at Reagan National Airport.

I seriously doubt the news article just fabricated that detail about the religious retreat. CAIR left that detail out for a reason.

The last case of “flying while Muslim” in which Muslims were removed from a plane for suspicious behavior involved a group of Imams who were leaving a religious retreat. Minor detail I suppose.
