I’ve never understood why a company can’t function on its own with just selling their products without having stocks and investors. How on earth did the entire world function before the invent of wall st and dow, jones?

I would think the simple way to prevent catastrophe would have been to let all the huge institutions die, give all the unemployed some “welfare” or what ever you want to call it until they find work or start a biz of their own.

Even with robbing the public of all this money to aid the failing companies, the problem still exists that the public will have even less money to spend, so what is the point in keeping the big guys going?

Streamline government. Low, flat tax. Less gov involvement in personal and business affairs.
