John McCain is a war veteran but he’s also a dickhead.

I don’t think there’s ever been a concerted effort by the Democratic party to cast aspersions on his service or dedication to his country.

I think Gus is actually talking about the inter-Republican party attacks on McCain. Most of the attacks I’ve seen on McCain’s service record come from fellow right wingers not Dems and lefties.
