There’s a reason that the GOP is going bugnuts and lashing out with anything at their disposal, no matter how nonsensical it is (see the “double secret probation” $400 million ransom that wasn’t a ransom and wasn’t a secret for an example).

It’s because Trump’s driving the GOP right into the abyss, and all to the cheers of his supporters too.
