Careful. There are plenty of lefty gun owners/enthusiasts out there. And in here.

I’m not a “gun banner,” as DF would call them. (Where did that term come from…it sounds Limbaugh-esque.) I grew up around guns, and most of the people in my family own firearms.

I may not be a “lifelong hunter” like Mitt Romney…But I know how to shoot. Many Texans would call me a pussy because I preferred trap and skeet shooting to actually killing stuff (just don’t see the sport in it, hate bullfighting too).

Anyway I don’t think there’s anything wrong with background checks, waiting periods, etc…doesn’t seem like an unconstitutional intrusion to make getting a gun as hard as getting a drivers license.
