Do you have any big tarps you could put up over the roof area that might be large enough to go up over the crown and then down to cover the leaking area?

I know around Columbus when there is wind that blows off roofing shingles or slates, you can call a roofer and they will put up a tarp until they can get to the repair. The insurance company might pay for it too, as it prevents more damage they might have to cover later.

I’m waiting on a call back from my insurance agent; I’ll ask him when he calls.

In the meantime, it’s the calm before this afternoon’s heavy weather: The sun is out.
