I’m starting to think the rules I live by are a fucking joke. Why be a good and decent fucking person when I’m the only one? (And I know I’m not the only one but the point remains.)

That’s why our whole society breaks down when our leaders are seen to be lawless scoundrels. There’s no reason for anyone to be honest in a corrupt state, which is why Russia is as bad as it is.
