People think “brusque” = true.

Odd human behavior.

If you use too many words, or too elaborate of words, people think you are concealing something.

Maybe this is an insight into human evolution? We still think words are magickal.

I once wrote a rebuttal to someone on Disqus over a comment he wrote. I try to make sure the words I select accurately reflect my thoughts and nuance. What I got back in response was “you write like you’re gay.”
