The only thing I don’t like about Harris-O’Rourke is that it doesn’t help to get favorite daughter votes in CA.

There were a lot of things that went against Cljnton that another woman will not have to face in 2020:
1. She’s a Clinton. How many people kn the left derided her for defending Bill, of that she’s part of a dynasty.
2. The economy was doing well, allowing people to explore their “why don’t we try letting the wreckers be in charge?’
3. “Trump can’t win.” Until he did.
4. Too many people just didn’t believe we’d end up here.

I think, as we saw this year, though, a lot of people are awake.

I’m not sure the favorite child vote is still actually a thing. Though it’s hard to say because the last “liberal from a conservative state” was probably Gore in 2000 (and he didn’t win Tennessee), and the last “conservative from a liberal state” was technically Trump but he was also running against someone from New York. And for what it’s worth Romney only won one of his three home states in 2012 (Utah, while losing Michigan and Massachusetts).
