On that note, are there actually any good wingnuts in pop music history, besides Johnny Ramone? I can think of great actors and directors and writers who held some nutty right-wing views, but they seem very rare among good pop musicians.

Neil Peart being a ‘Bleeding Heart Libertarian’ is about as close as I can get.
