Well, I got done a little while ago chopping up the asparagus I cut down tonight with a scythe. (A scythe cuts through asparagus stalks like a laser.)

We have about two pounds of chopped asparagus. So, tomorrow is bacon-wrapped asparagus, later cream of asparagus, after that asparagus surprise, then surprise asparagus again …

Germans are crazy for white asparagus (same plant, just grown in earth berms and harvested before it pops into the sunlight). This is the prime season for it, it grows all over the region and there are stands on roadsides and street corners everywhere vending it.
