Counterpoint: No they won’t. That ship sailed after Helsinki. The GOP is a party of traitors now. They know they can’t win free and fair elections anymore so they’re going all in on subverting democracy and will side more and more openly with Russia while installing a white nationalist oligarchy.

The GOP storyline is that China is the major threat (true that!) and that we need to be allied with Russia for some reason that escapes me.
