My dad sent me this. It’s from 1983, and it’s his original Mac (128K RAM!!!). The porcelain-looking feline sitting on the external floppy drive is Bluesy. She was a blue point Siamese, probably ten months old at the time. Other than the computer, you can tell how dated it is by the flea collar on her neck. She was without a doubt my favorite cat out of all the ones we’ve had. When she was a kitten she looked like an alien with those big ears.

I was always astonished that anyone got anything done on a 128k Mac. I remember how obscenely expensive RAM was but with the all the stuff the Mac had to load in memory you just couldn’t do much till the 1 mb model came out.

But then the Plus and the Laserjet came out living up to Job’s hype and utterly changed the world.
