That’s why they have WWE running on the Friday night prime time slot. In this case an outside production company can produce two hours weekly for them and get them twice the audience as one of SyFy’s typically lame “SciFi” (but these days mostly fantasy) series.

‘course, to be fair, Scifi has never really been known for its freshness. Growing up, I can remember finding various scifi series from the 90s, 80s, and even late 70s. And those were interspersed with a generous helping of old scifi films and the odd original production, like the one year I remember that having a show about video game tournaments. You know, back when when multiplayer usually meant big honking game booths wired into each other with more cable than the Golden Gate Bridge.
