For many in my generation, I think the first time we learned about the KKK was in Forrest Gump. And African-Americans especially older ones in the South definitely know who they are. It’s beside the point though since Trump damn well knows who Duke is and the KKK are.

If I hadn’t told them about the KKK when I talk about slavery and segregation, my kids would know them from the Blues Brothers.
